Classification:  Non-Exempt

Reports To:  Maintenance Team Lead

Location:  All Clinics

This position provides maintenance service to all clinics and administration; responds to “Fix” requests and reports on progress of completing those request or referring difficult issues to a higher level; understands the basic aspects of plumbing, carpentry, electrical systems etc.; performs general maintenance of office equipment and some clinic equipment; keeps maintenance logs and reports on daily activities and ensures compliance with health and safety policies.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Provides general maintenance service to all clinics and administration; responds to “Fix” requests in a timely manner and reports progress on completion of all requests or refers more difficult issues to a higher level for resolution.
  • Understands the basic aspects of plumbing, carpentry, electrical systems, office equipment and provides maintenance and repairs to those systems when needed
  • Keeps track of and provides reports on daily maintenance activities and informs supervisors when supplies need to be ordered
  • Assists in the installations of any equipment or electronic replacements and refurbishments; reviews basic structural issues and recommends appropriate action to take to correct these issues.
  • Performs other duties as directed.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

  • None

EDUCATION:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Degree from a vocational school or BSc/Ba in business administration, facility management etc. will be an advantage

LICENSURE OR CERTIFICATION:

  • Valid Certified Maintenance Manager (CMM) will a plus, but not needed

EXPERIENCE:

  • At least 1 year of proven experience in the maintenance field

SKILLS

Abilities include but not limited to:  caring attitude toward patients and co-workers; critical thinking, interpersonal, speaking and active listening skills; detail oriented, good stamina and coordination; ability to work in a fast pace environment; multitask; knowledge of general office procedures and equipment; and ability to work at least 40 hours per week; some weekend work may apply.
