Accurately and thoroughly documents medical visits and procedures as they are being performed, including but not limited to: procedures and treatments, diagnoses, prescriptions and referrals. It is expected that no more than 5% of charts should have major errors.
Ensures all clinical data, lab or other test results, and the interpretation of the results by the provider are recorded accurately in the medical record.
Ensures timeliness of patient care by managing patient traffic flow, alerting medical staff of provider orders and alerting providers of critical test results, prescription needs, etc. This position is required to serve as liaison between provider and medical staff, prioritizing the urgency of patient needs and ensuring that all orders and results are effectively communicated on the floor 100% of the time.
Ensures medical personnel are aware of and respond to provider orders to facilitate rapid, quality Christ-centered medical care.
Identifies mistakes or inconsistencies in medical documentation. When needed, checks with provider and medical personnel to correct the information in order to reduce errors.
Handles incoming calls from pharmacies, providers and patients. When needed, researches contact information for referring providers, coordinates referrals, makes phone calls and other clerical tasks as assigned.
Keeps immediate work area clean throughout the day; The work area includes, but it is not limited to counter tops, trash bins and shred bin; sets up and cleans area for the next morning shift.

Computer Skills: Must be able to learn and use all functions of medical record software. Must accurately enter data into a database, search for information, send and receive emails.
Collaboration Skills: Must be able to work in a group setting to meet a common goal. Must interact with colleagues in a professional, courteous manner.
Patient Focus: Must understand the importance of compassionate, efficient patient service to deliver rapid, quality, Christ-centered medical care.
Organizational Skills: This position requires significant amounts of multi-tasking, and the ideal candidate will demonstrate proven organizational skills to ensure effective time management in a fast-paced setting.
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and scanners.
POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Sunday through Saturday, 7:45 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., or until the last patient leaves after 8:00 p.m.; must be able to work three 12-hour shifts per week. Rotating shifts, as well as holidays and work during inclement weather will be required.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Associate’s or Bachelor's Degree in a health-related field or at least 4 years of experience in management preferred.
LICENSURE OR CERTIFICATION
Abilities include but not limited to: caring attitude toward patients and co-workers; critical thinking, interpersonal, speaking and active listening skills; detail oriented, good stamina and coordination; ability to work in a fast pace environment; multitask; knowledge of general office procedures and equipment; ability to identify and efficiently describe issues/problems and offer specific solutions, or solve, as well as describe all attempted solutions that did not fix the issue to the appropriate person(s), such as Team Leader, Fix Team, etc.; ability to work at least three 12-hour shifts per week.
